MY FAVOURITE WEEKEND BRUNCH SPOTS IN LONDON
Weekends call for brunch. Am I right or am I right? Brunch, by name and by nature, is the very best of both worlds. Better than breakfast - in that it affords a weekend lie-in and it generally allows one to eat more. More leisurely than lunch - it is widely accepted that it is allowed to last anything from two to four hours. It is arguably the most luxurious meal of the week and I bloody love it.
London is brimming with brunch options. More restaurants across London are getting their brunch on than ever before, but while that means we are all spoilt for choice it also presents the need to prioritise finding the most pitch-perfect of them all. After all, no one wants to see in the weekend with a hard yolk or waste their cash on a watery Bloody Mary.
I've frequented quite a few brunch haunts over the past few years because I'm a sucker for a bit of avo on toast so here goes, some of my favourites...
Boys'n'Berry encompasses everything I love about a restaurant; the food is fresh, the coffee is fab and the decor is insta-worthy. Plus it's only a stumble away from my flat so hell yeaaaaaaaah; that surely has to make it an automatic winner on the list.
Arguably the tiniest restaurant in London which means you will have to wait, but my god, is it worth it. The food is exceptional, the service even better and the restaurant has got such a homely quaint vibe to it which makes it perfect for Sunday mornings - hence the name.
This Aussie jaunt is breathtakingly beautiful; think marble tables, gold details and pretty plates of food decorated with flower petals. It's a food bloggers paradise for sure. If you take a visit, order the banana bread... it is truly outstanding!
Vegans and vegetarians skim over this part... but for the rest of you, Big Easy is meat heaven. If the thought of succulent BBQ ribs, pulled pork and all the trimmings gets you drooling then I suggest you book a table ASAP. You won't regret it. But just a heads up, wear some stretchy pants.
This is brunch with a twist. Think ingredients such as jasmine-tea smoked salmon and miso mushrooms. The menu may sound a bit 'wacky' but everything comes together so beautifully. Plus the brunch cocktails are delish!
Can you even call yourself a blogger if you haven't taken a snap of your pretty latte at Farm Girl Cafe? haha! For those trying to make healthier options, Farm Girl is your place; it offers the most amazing choice of clean eating options. All the goodness without the guilt. And it’s not just salads, the food is really satisfying and wholesome.
I'm salivating now!!!
