OOTD ROUNDUP / JUNE

After last month’s successful May edition, I thought I'd come back with another OOTD roundup for you all. Here's where I showcased some of my outfits of the month and links to where you can buy the items. Please note that a lot of the clothes I wear are from seasons past so unfortunately I won't be able to link each item, but I'll still tell you where they're from in case they have similar items available.

I'm sure some of you follow me on Instagram where I generally do OOTD's every other day - thanks to my trusty Insta/work wife. I try and make sure to tag each item and where it's from, but I still get lots of questions asking so thought this'd be a nice platform for people to come to and get direct links to each piece.

I also think it'd be nice for me to look back on and see how my style develops over time. I'm sure I'll look back in months / years to come and think whyyyyyyy did you wear that in classic retrospect style but hey ho, that's the fun of it, right?

This months weather has been bizarre. We had a very hot - almost too hot - heatwave here in London for a few days but we've also had a fair bit of rain. Y'know, typical English weather so my outfits haven't been as summery as I would've liked at this point of the year. Darnnnnnnnn it - maybe we'll have more luck for sunshine next month?

Saying that, I have noticed that I've been a bit more daring this month with my outfit choices and I've been rocking styles and items I never would've put together before. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

WHAT I WORE IN JUNE

DRESS - Primark

SANDALS - Clarks

All aspects of this dress are quite out of my comfort zone, especially the fact that it’s a maxi style, but actually, it’s probably one of my favourite items in my wardrobe. It’s a statement in colour but the style and shape makes it feel more comfortable. Think it’s going to be a very versatile piece, one for every day but also a great piece for evenings on holiday. What a winner!

PLAYSUIT – ASOS

CLUTCH – Whistles

CHOKER – Zara

BOOTS - Aldo

I’ve had this playsuit for years and I just bloody love it. It’s such a great piece, again easy to throw on over a bikini on holidays but also looks great dressed up for evenings. I think the off the shoulder ruffle detail makes a really nice detail which is very on trend at the moment. This day I paired it with my Whistles neon yellow clutch to compliment with the daisy print on the playsuit and was very happy with the outcome.

DRESS – Zara

TIGHTS – Calzitaly

BOOTS – Aldo

GLASSES - Specsavers

So… I’ve had to get glasses. I’ve been avoiding it for years now but eventually had to give in and visit the opticians and as expected, clearly needed glasses. This was my first proper day wearing them! I wore this simple black dress from Zara which flares out a bit at the bottom and paired it with these amazing dotty tights from Calzitaly. They added something fun and flirty to the outfit. Oh and of course, a red lip just tied it all together!

BLOUSE – Topshop

JEANS – Topshop

SANDALS – Clarks

I’ve bought quite a lot of blouses from Topshop recently and they’re bringing out lots of different ‘cheeky’ tie up, peek-a-boo styles. I’ve always been a massive fan of florals so this was just an obvious win to fit into my wardrobe. I paired it with my trusty black jeans on this day but also think it’d look great paired with a fitted skirt for a night out.

TOP – Zara

JEANS – Topshop

SANDALS – Clarks

I’ve had this blue top from Zara forever and ever. From the front its lovely but nothing overly special but then… BAM, the back detail comes into play. That was the winner for me and sets it apart from a lot of the other tops I own. I also love the colour and think it’s such a flattering shade!

DRESS – H&M

SANDALS – Clarks

My lovely dad actually bought this dress for me… the cutie. Thanks dad! I usually don’t really go for t-shirt style dresses – mainly because I’ve got a bit of a chest on me haha – but I really love this one because it encompasses so many different styles in one with the eyelet details and also the ruffles. Perfect.

DRESS – Zara

SHOES - Topshop

I’ve had this dress for years and years, like Uni days, and I still love it soooooooo much and it’s so different to anything else I own. The tie die effect is really pretty and the ruffle, layered effect of the skirt part gives it a different twist.

DRESS – Topshop

BAG – MK

SUNGLASSES – RayBan

SHOES – Clarks

I saw this dress in Topshop and instantly fell in looooooooove. Off the shoulder, dotty AND ruffles – like what more could I want from a dress?! As I said in my Instagram post, I definitely felt a bit Kim K vibes with this outfit, especially paired with my black aviator Raybans. I can’t wait to wear this dress again, it was perfect for daytime but I also think it’d look amazing for evenings with a red heel and red lip. It may be a potential birthday outfit…

SKIRT – Warehouse

TOP – Topshop

BAG – Zara

SUNGLASSES - Ray-Ban

This skirt is another really old item but I think this is probably only the second time I’ve worn it. I’m quite tummy conscious – don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m massive, but it’s definitely my ‘problem area’ – so I don’t tend to go for bodycon styles too much. However I’m so so so glad I went with this outfit because not only did I get loads of compliments but it was stylish as well as comfortable which is the best combination ever. I’m definitely keen to style the skirt with other things in the near future. Stay tuned!

DRESS – Zara

SHOES - Topshop

SUNGLASSES - Ray-Ban

This dress is another oldie but I always get it out when the weather gets warmer. If you've been here before, you'll know that I'm a massive fan of florals all year round but love wearing them even more so in the summer. Also the back strappy detail of this dress makes a really nice detail. Think I'll be wearing this one for summers to come!

DRESS – Boohoo

SANDALS - Zara

SUNGLASSES - Ray-Ban

Does anything beat an all black outfit? I never feel sexier than in a well fitting, LBD and this one is definitely one of those. I've had this one for years and it was such a bargain at the time. I actually bought it on a bit of a whim and now I'm sooooo glad I bought it because I've worn it so many times and its such a versatile piece. I always get quite a few compliments on it and questions as to where its from because the neck detail is quite unusual. Loooove it.

TOP – Topshop

TROUSERS – Topshop

SHOES – Topshop

SUNGLASSES - Ray-Ban

... I was clearly loving me a bit of Topshop on this day. These trousers are definitely waaaaay out of my comfort zone and until recently I never would've dared buying a pair, let alone wearing them outside of the house haha. That's actually one of the best things about blogging is that I'm becoming a lot more daring with my outfit choices! I can't wait to pair these trousers with a few other items in my wardrobe e.g. a white shirt or a slogan tee!

DRESS – Topshop

JACKET – H&M

SHOES - Topshop

You would've actually seen this dress on last months roundup but I wanted to show you guys how much one piece can look completely different with other items. To me, a leather jacket is a godly piece and I looooove pairing mine with feminine dresses to roughen them up. Now all I need is to hop on a motorbike...

I really really hope you've enjoyed this post and maybe its given you some inspiration for the upcoming month.

Lots of loooove!
