OOTD ROUNDUP / MAY

I love writing about all sorts but a massive passion of mine is fashion - and in turn, shopping - and I know a lot of you are here for the clothes too. With that in mind, I thought I'd try out a new series where I showcased some of my outfits of the month and where you can buy the items - I'll make sure to link them if they're still in stock. Please note that a lot of the clothes I wear are from seasons past so unfortunately I won't be able to link each item, but I'll still tell you where they're from in case they have similar items available.

I'm sure some of you follow me on Instagram where I generally do OOTD's every other day - thanks to my trusty Insta/work wife. I try and make sure to tag each item and where it's from, but I still get lots of questions asking so thought this'd be a nice platform for people to come to and get direct links to each piece.

I also think it'd be nice for me to look back on and see how my style develops over time. I'm sure I'll look back in months / years to come and think whyyyyyyy did you wear that in classic retrospect style but hey ho, that's the fun of it, right?

This month weather wise has been VERY odd, it started off quite mild then got super super cold and now we're at the end of a heatwave so you'll see a mix of outfits here as I've tried to cater for the weather. Saying that, I've ended up with a stinkin' cold which is very irritating. Anyway, onto the good stuff...

P.S. You may even get a sneak peak before Instagram....

WHAT I WORE IN MAY

BLOUSE - Topshop

JEANS - Topshop

BOOTS - Aldo

I've always been pretty experimental with fashion and don't shy away from much but even for me, this shirt was a bit out of my comfort zone. There's a lot going on - dotted print, a lot of ruffles, flared sleeves... oh and it's pretty damn revealing. But despite all that, I love it and am so glad I picked it up. It's such a flattering, interesting piece and paired with a pair of black skinny jeans, it works really well.

DRESS - Primark

BOOTS - Aldo

If you're loyal followers, you'll know that I did an entire post on embroidery and this particular dress from Primark. If you have no idea what I'm harping on about, you can read it hereI love this dress and it's so easy to chuck on with a pair of tights and boots, or even with some heeled sandals when its a bit warmer.

TOP  - Zara

JEANS - Topshop

SANDALS - Topshop

It seems as though May was an experimental month fashion wise for me. I bought myself my first pair of MOM jeans and shockingly... in BLUE. I've been anti-blue jeans for years because I still think I'm 10x bigger than I am and thought they accentuated the wrong things but actually, I was pleasantly surprised with these. They don't look toooo bad and I think the combination worked quite well.

JUMPSUIT - Asos

JACKET - Zara

SANDALS - Clarks

This jumpsuit is one of my holy grail items because it's so bloody versatile. It's my fail safe come an evening out because I know I can pop it on with a blazer and heels, and it'll look great (see here) but it's also so easy to dress down for the daytime. The one downside is obviously the peeing situation... such a nightmare. Girl problems.

DRESS - Topshop

JACKET - Primark

SANDALS - Clarks

I've had this dress for years and years and it's my go-to for the summer because it's so easy to wear and comfy. I always gravitate toward white in the summer, adding pops of colour or details in with other pieces. In this case, I paired it with my embroidered denim jacket from Primark - you can see the back here - and that detail just elevated it from a basic outfit to something a bit more exciting.

TOP - Primark

JEANS - Topshop

BOOTS - Aldo

This top is one of my absolute favourites because... stars and off the shoulder, what more could you want?! It's such a flattering piece and looks lovely no matter the occasion.

DRESS - Zara

ESPADRILLES - New Look

You will've seen this dress in my recent red is the colour of the moment post and its one of my favourites. Funnily, I actually bought this dress many many years ago in a Zara sale and didn't have the confidence to wear it because at the time, I just stuck to monochrome but one day I thought f**k it, popped it on, and haven't looked back since. I've also invested in a few other red dresses recently to grow my collection. I also love the espadrilles that I paired this with, they're so flattering and really elongate the leg.

JACKET - H&M

CROP TOP - Topshop

SKIRT - Primark

SANDALS - Clarks

This was probably my favourite outfit of the month because it was fashionable but with a touch of class which I loved. This skirt is such a lovely piece and can be worn, day or night, with so many different items. This jacket is my go-to for when I want to smarten things up a bit and despite some thinking I look like a Dr, I happily wear it with a smile haha.

DRESS - H&M

SANDALS - Clarks

I picked this dress up from H&M in the sale for £10 and couldn't be more ecstatic about. It's such a versatile piece; could easily be worn in the evenings with a pair of heels but equally looks nice in the day with flats. I can't wait to wear it again soon.

JUMPSUIT - Primark

SANDALS - Clarks

Jumpsuits are such a fabulous piece for all year round because you don't have to faff around pairing pieces together. Absolutely genuis. I really love this one because it genuinely feels like I'm wearing my PJs outside but the tie detail gives it a bit of a sexy twist. I'm keen to find a few more similar pieces to wear over the next couple of months.

DRESS - Zara

SANDALS - Clarks

This is another pieces that I've had for maybe... 3 years, maybe more. It's another gorgeous, versatile piece that I don't think I'll be parting with anytime soon. The tie top and ruffles make it a very 'flirty' dress to wear which is right up my street haha.

So there ya go, that's what I've been wearing this month. Hope you've enjoyed taking a sneak peak into my wardrobe.

What's been your favourite look of the month? I'd love to know!
