H&M HOME HAVE OUTDONE THEMSELVES
If you managed to read my recent ‘mid-twenties crisis’ post, you’ll be well aware that one thing I’ve noticed as I’m getting that bit older is that I really appreciate good interior design and acknowledge the hard work that goes into having a well put-together and stylish home. I happily spend my weekends searching for the perfect additions to my gallery wall, gush daily over the most perfect compositions of bed cushions on Pinterest and could recite a few too many Dulux paint shades.
With that in mind, H&M has been one of my go-to places for home accessories since it's launch a few years ago because its easily accessible, ‘trendy’ and excellent value for money. The beauty of H&M home is that it’s affordable – if you end up despising your leaf print cushion cover in a few months’ time – hard to believe I know - then at least you won’t have to kick yourself for spending hundreds of pounds on something you don’t like anymore.
I love H&M as a clothing brand too but as soon as their catalogue arrives on my doormat, my first and seemingly most natural instinct is to head straight to the interiors section. Says it all really. The images and compositions of their 2017 Spring / Summer collection created by Therese Senerholt blew me away and in my opinion, have elevated the brand to a much higher level, placing them against higher-end brands such as FCUK Home & Habitat.
I’m a monochrome and neutral fiend so the wonderfully muted colours are right up my street but the occasional pink and blue hues bring some colour to the collection as a gentle reminder that it is indeed a Spring collection. My perfect home is minimalist yet homely and I think this collection perfectly encpsulates everything I seek for.
Feel free to spend the next few minutes lusting over the images and then find below my top five picks from the collection. It was SO hard not to pick absolutely everything.
