FASHION / THE WINTER COAT TO SPRING JACKET SWITCHOVER
Spring has arrived and we’re promised that warmer weather is on the horizon. For now, in typical English style, that promise has yet to be fulfilled and with erratic changes, it’s hard to know what to wear in this transitional season.
I do love Spring; the brighter mornings, the beautiful blossoms on the trees, everyone is just generally chirpier (myself included) but there’s a massive part of me that gets REALLY upset about the fact that I’ve got to say goodbye to the loves of my life - my Winter coats.
The silver lining is that we can say hello to the lighter, brighter Spring jackets. There are so many options available; from embroidered denim jackets to floral bombers and pastel coloured leather jackets to classic trench coats. No matter your personal style, there’s a perfect jacket out there for you.
If you've followed my style for a while, you will have noticed that my Winter wardrobe is predominantly monochrome with a few camels and bright colours thrown in to mix it up. But Spring and Summer is where my wardrobe really comes alive!
I’ve got a couple of bomber jackets in my collection and also a classic trench coat but I definitely noticed there was an obvious gap in my Spring jacket collection which was that apart from my floral bomber (see below), there wasn’t much colour.
That was until I found this… *drum roll* please… gorgeous suede pink jacket! I spotted it in Primark from miles away and was instantly in love. I actually ended up buying it in about 6 sizes too big because they had no others in stock and I wanted it that bad haha. Sounds silly, I know, but I quite like the oversized look and well, I genuinely couldn’t leave it behind.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
If you can hunt this jacket down in your local Primark then definitely buy it however as I said, there are so many high-street Spring jacket options available at the moment so here are some others for you to peruse:
In my opinion, they're all gorgeous but the Zara starry number is definitely calling my name... uh oh.
