STRIPPING IT BACK TO BASICS FOR A/W
Spring and summer are definitely the seasons where I experiment most with fashion. As soon as the sun starts to shine, out come the funky colours, wild patterns, floaty and feminine touches and I really do love just swanning around in the sunshine wearing said things. Not that that lasts long... *rolls eyes*
As soon as the sunshine disappears, I notice the same pattern emerges each year with my own fashion sense, wherein I switch from fun and 'quirky' to simple, classical dressing almost overnight. There's just something about A/W dressing that makes me want to tone it down, strip it back and really invest in classic pieces that have the ability to stand the test of time.
Sometimes I wanna kick myself a bit because y'know, I'm meant to be a 'fashion blogger' and all so in turn, I should be experimenting with new and exciting trends... but no, recently all I've wanted to wear is the same blue jeans, striped top and some sort of jacket. How original and inspiring Jasmine... however, the more I think about it, fashion is all about expressing yourself, as well as being comfortable and I guess this outfit does that. Yes, it's fairly simple but this Aviator style jacket is definitely a massive trend of the moment, and the shoes, well, let's just say I never thought I'd see the day I'd invest in a pair of silver shoes, but I can't get enough of these Superga babies.
There's just something so satisfying about putting on a great fitting pair of jeans and a striped t-shirt. It will forever make me feel oh so Parisienne and who am I kidding, that is just the ultimate dream. My all-time forever compliment is "oh, you're rocking the French vibes today" because I then know I'm onto a winner and will then probably wear the same outfit repeatedly for a good month or so. French fashion is so chic and effortless, and that's definitely my go-to for the A/W months. Sleek, simple and (sometimes) sexy.
