BEAUTY / MY CURRENT EVENING SKINCARE ROUTINE
There are two types of Jasmine when it comes to skincare; the girl who has a rigorous skincare regime or on the complete opposite spectrum, the girl who uses a face-wipe as she’s sleepily getting into bed. The latter is terrible I know!
I’m really trying to make a conscious effort with my skincare at the moment, especially in the evenings and at weekends when I have a bit more time on my hands. We all know that putting aside some time and really looking after your skin makes such a difference. I've noticed that when I'm consistent and using products that I know work for me, my skin feels more plump, radiant and clearer. Massive win. Also, as hard as it is when the Space NK newsletter pops into my inbox, I'm also trying not to switch it up as frequently.
My skin type: I have combination skin which can be quite hormonal at times so I try and stick to non-offensive products that aren’t too abrasive on my skin.
Seeing as it's Sunday and our skin deserves a bit of a pamper after a long week; I thought I’d give you a sneak peak into some of my holy grail products…
I’ve tried so many cleansers over the years and always seem to come back to this. This two-step cleanser works like magic, the thick cream dissolves even stubborn eye makeup and then the hot cloth exfoliates, leaving your skin clean and radiant. In a nutshell, it’s very thorough, yet very gentle on the skin and the results are bladdy incredible.
I love all of the Origins masks but this is the most effective on my skin and is excellent for when I want to 'de-stress' my skin or calm down any redness. The consistency is quite thick but it's easy enough to apply; I usually paint mine on using a makeup brush and then leave it for 10-15 minutes to do its magic. Once removed, my skin always feels instantaneously refreshed.
This has been my holy grail for as long as I can remember and is such a cult product. For such a tiny product, it makes a BIG difference. I dab this gel onto any angry blemishes overnight and come morning they're calmer and definitely less red. Not only does it help to dry out spots quicker but it also helps to speed up the post-blemish healing process too!
I bought this product on a whim and I absolutely love it; it's silky in texture, non-offensive in smell and absorbs into the skin super quick making it a great every day option pre-makeup. As I said above, my skin can be oil prone so this definitely helps to reduce any extra shine. What more could I ask for?
The Effaclar Duo range is so hyped up and I am totally on the bandwagon. It's light in texture and note that a little goes a long way with this product. I use this product even when my skin isn't flaring up / in a bad state as it tends to help reduce any inflammations before any blemishes have a chance to appear. Happy days.
I don't tend to use singular exfoliators that much but when I do, this is the one I turn to as it's brilliant at de-clogging and clearing out any pores, leaving my skin feeling really smooth and squeaky clean.
